Feb 20th Letter

Greetings neighbor,


Good news, we have collected 98% of the goal!


We have an update about the costs for the repair of Buckhorn Road more general information. This letter will be sent via email to everyone for whom I have addresses and will be posted on the website buckhornroad.org on a weekly basis. Please remind all neighbors to pay their dues asap, as some are not on this email group nor the internet.


Here’s the list owners who have sent me dues, thank you to these neighbors:



Total STILL NEEDED To start work: $145

Please contact anyone not on the above list to remind them to send their dues so we can schedule work ASAP! 


All other owners on the road need to send in dues by Feb 28th, if we are going to get this done. As a reminder, we need to have Bud Garman finish the work BEFORE the road dries out or we won’t save $1400 more. Getting this done sooner than later, not only helps everyone getting up and down the road but adds property value to every owner on the road. Think of it as an investment in your property; especially those who are selling their properties.

Btw, the road has not had true re-grading and full gravel for over 8 years or more!


Two things: 1. Please realize any check or money orders given to me should be written to “Bud Garman Construction Services” (not me) and will not be deposited until at least a week AFTER Bud Garman finishes the work. Hence, it might be a while before the money is withdrawn from the bank. If we don’t reach enough money to hire Bud all money will be returned.  2. You can skip the mailing/stamp and just bring me a check/cash to my house at the address below please call/text/email me first. I will write you a receipt and hold it until I give all the dues to Bud Garman directly. And remember you can use your credit card to pay via the Betterworld site described on the second letter or clicking "Pay Online" above.


Reminder of Owner Dues:

$10,055 divided by 12 = $840 each owner due. Please pay as much as possible towards the $840 due from each neighbor. 


Refer to my previous letter or website on how to send me dues, as well as, as the actual quote from Bud Garman on road repair costs.


Also, Chris Obergin wanted me to tell everyone that if you have the means (large equipment, etc.) please clear your ditches and berms asap. Since this work should be done before Bud Garman does the road repair. The quote attached to the previous letter doesn’t include all the ditches and as you noticed during the storms last month run off from uncleared ditches/berms onto the road further damage it.


I will update everyone via email and website weekly on who has paid their road dues and will contact Bud to start work when we have collected enough funds for payment.


Also, I will contact everyone not listed above I have information from in the next week to ask them to please send dues now. I will also place notes on gates/posts. Since we are close to our goal it benefits all if we do this before rains stop.
