April 24th Letter
April 24, 2023
Greetings neighbor,
I have handed over payment to Bud Garman Construction Services this morning. A copy of the paid invoice and a financial statement showing all the payments from road association members, and the remaining funds was emailed to members. It won't be post on the website. These funds, $307.01, will be held for maintenance in the coming year.
As noted in the last message, please make sure you have the funds in your accounts if you wrote a check, as any insufficient funds (and the fees with it) will be between you and Bud Garman.
Going forward, I hope we can formalize the Road Association so as to open a shared bank account and manage the road more efficiently. I will need help in this and am asking for people who are interested to please contact me so we can start the process.
Some repairs on the road are still needed, separate from the recent work. As you may have noticed, Beda Garman left a traffic cone in a spot on the road over a damaged culvert. This culvert needs to be repaired across the entire width of the road in that area. We also need larger signs at the entrance highlighting the 10 mph speed and that our road is a private road (no trespassing). This will need to be handled by the newly formed road association. The sooner we can formalize the road association, the quicker we will be able to address these remaining matters.
Again, thank you for your help over the last months. This is an accomplishment for us to celebrate as a community! I look forward to helping us continue to maintain the road in the coming years.
Regards,
Sean C
