Subject: Free Water Tank and Road Maintenance
Dear Neighbors,
We have received quotes from two separate companies for the road maintenance. The companies are Garman Construction, which has historically done the maintenance at Buckhorn Rd, and Snipes Specialties, which has historically maintained roads in the Williams Ranch area. Here are the quotes and the distributed contribution for each of the 14 land owners:
Garman Construction
Quote attached
Total: $10,901
Contribution per land owner: $779
Snipes Specialties
Quote 1 and 2 attached: both quotes together are the equivalent of Garman’s quote
Total: $11,924
Contribution per land owner: $852
Considering the cost, I’ll proceed to collect funds from each property owner in the amount of $779. Checks should be made out to Garman Construction. Please reply to this message or contact me to provide your commitment by Friday, April 3. We’ll set a date to collect all funds once I receive confirmation.
Separately, the Mendocino Fire Safe Council is facilitating a state grant to obtain free water tanks, but the turnaround for requests is very quick. The only restriction is they cannot be used for irrigation or agriculture. They can be used as a home backup, and the water must be available to fire departments in the event of a fire nearby. The tanks will be delivered at a central location and homeowners will be responsible for transportation, hookup, and filling the tanks. If you're interested, please reply with your full name, physical address (where the tanks will be installed), phone number, and number of tanks you would like to request no later than this Tuesday evening on March 24. I will provide more details in a follow up to those who are interested.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Luis
