Subject: Status of road maintenance and FireWise status

I hope everyone is keeping dry with all the rain we're receiving. I wanted to keep you updated on the status of the road maintenance. Unfortunately we only have commitments from 7 neighbors. That's half of the cost of the maintenance and we cannot proceed to accept Garman's quote until we receive all commitments, as payment is due upon completion of the work. We have commitments for $5,450, and we need a total of $10,901. Here is a list of the neighbors who have committed:

I have left a note on the gates for Kevin and Dani as they are new neighbors, for Erik C W, and sent a note to Alfonso. 

On separate news, you may remember I'm a co-chair of the (previously named) Ridgewood FireSafe Council, which covers about 30 sq miles and includes Muir Mill and Buckhorn Rd. Last week, we completed the FireWise assessment with CalFire and we are very close to being certified as a FireWise community. This brings many opportunities such as grants for fire prevention and education, and home insurance agencies offer credits for being part of a FireWise community. I will keep you updated as we make progress on the certification.
